This classic method creates a rich, creamy chocolate fudge.
• Ingredients:
◦ 3 cups (about 12 ounces or 350g) of semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips
◦ 1 can (14 ounces or 395g) of sweetened condensed milk (do not use evaporated milk)
Instructions:
1 Prepare a pan: Line an 8x8 inch (or similar size) baking dish with parchment paper or foil, leaving some overhang for easy removal later. Spray lightly with cooking spray.
2 Melt the ingredients: Combine the chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk in a large, microwave-safe bowl.
3 Heat and stir: Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each, until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth and thick. This typically takes about 1-2 minutes total.
4 Set the fudge: Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until fully set.
5 Cut and serve: Once firm, lift the fudge from the pan using the paper overhang and cut into squares. Store in an airtight container.
