1lb Ground Beef
1lb Hot Italian Sausage (I buy it in casings and squeeze it out)
3 Large cans crushed tomatoes
1 Large can tomato paste
1 green pepper
Onion, garlic, & celery
In large pot fry beef, sausage, diced onions, garlic & celery. Season with salt & pepper – break-up meat as frying.
Once all fried, add the crushed tomatoes and paste, stirring. Add diced green pepper.
Season with:
Sugar (Balance the acid)
2 large Bay leaves
Garlic salt
Black pepper
Dried Rosemary leaves
Dried ground Marjoram
Dried Oregano leaves
Dried Basil leaves
Dad adds crushed Red Pepper to his at time of serving.
